Industrial wastewater treatment plants

Your discharge, within Mexican standards.

We design systems to meet the applicable limits based on where you discharge, site-specific conditions and current regulations. We also make the water ready for reuse.

What it is

Less risk, fewer fines.

A wastewater treatment plant removes the pollutants the standard limits from the water leaving your facility: solids, organic load (COD and BOD), oils and grease, metals and microorganisms, among others. Your discharge stays within the applicable limits and you reduce the risk of findings and fines from the authority.

No two plants are the same. The treatment train is defined by your wastewater analysis and by where you discharge, and may include physicochemical, biological, filtration and disinfection stages. If you also want to reuse the water, we take it to process quality with membranes.

  • Civil works: pits, sumps, slabs and enclosures

How it works

From wastewater to a compliant discharge.

Typical stages of an industrial wastewater plant. The ones that apply are defined by the analysis.

  1. WastewaterWhat leaves your process, utilities and restrooms.
  2. PretreatmentScreening, grit removal and flow equalization.
  3. TreatmentPhysicochemical and/or biological, depending on pollutants.
  4. Filtration and disinfectionFinal polishing and microbiological control.
  5. Discharge or reuseWater within the applicable limits, or back to the process.
When you need it

Does any of this sound familiar?

Situations where a wastewater plant, or upgrading yours, solves the problem.

01

Out-of-limit results

Your discharge analysis shows COD, BOD, solids or metals above the limit.

02

Notice from the authority

You received an inspection, a requirement or a fine for your discharge.

03

New plant in Mexico

You are opening or expanding a plant and need the discharge solved from day one.

04

Underperforming plant

You already have a plant, but it does not comply or is expensive to run.

05

You want to reuse water

Beyond compliance, you want treated water back in your process.

06

Production growth

Your flow grew and the current plant can no longer keep up.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

01

Which Mexican standard applies to my discharge?

It depends on where you discharge. Discharges to rivers and other national receiving water bodies fall under NOM-001-SEMARNAT-2021; discharges to urban or municipal sewer systems fall under NOM-002-SEMARNAT-1996, plus site-specific conditions and other applicable rules. We review it with you in the assessment.

02

How much does a wastewater treatment plant cost?

It depends on flow, pollutants, required quality and civil works. We quote after a free assessment. Rental or pay per use is also available, with no upfront investment (subject to technical, financial and contractual evaluation).

03

Can you upgrade an existing plant?

Yes. We review how it runs, which stages fail and what it needs to comply, and propose the upgrade.

04

Do you work with foreign companies?

Yes. We work in English, quote in USD or MXN and build to your corporate specifications.

05

Do you handle civil works?

Yes. We deliver turnkey: engineering, civil works, steel work, mechanical and electrical installation, automation, commissioning and operation.
